While traditional collaboration often involves a chaotic blend of real-time edits and multiple cursors, Conclave Writer takes a different approach. We believe in collaboration that respects the individual’s space and thought process. So while we aim to eventually permit collaborative writing in real-time, and we do plan to have shared spaces where direct collaboration is possible – we plan to also explore an ‘indirect’ collaboration model of intertextual documents, permitting a symbolic reference to interpolate content from other spaces, and potentially introducing structured suggest/accept/reject workfows. We believe this could offer a more granular and considered form of collaboration, allowing individual contributions to still seamlessly be woven together live, but without losing the essence of personal creativity.
